GREEN LINGOTTO (Turin, 2041)

In 2041 Turin is not anymore the “one company town” only dependent on the automotive market. In fact, looking back through time, the big change started in the 2010s, when several relevant initiatives were launched, such as the Green Pea, the urban gardens of Mirafiori and Eataly. The square metres of green area have increased fivefold as compared with 2020. The Lingotto, the motor speedway where the famous scenes of The Italian Job were filmed - with three Mini Cooper speeding over the factory roof- has finally embraced the new “slow philosphy”. The symbol of FIAT and of industrial production has thus been converted into a elevated public ring, equipped with sport facilities, urban gardens and green areas to look at the city from above.
