PLASTIC BEACH (Ex Railay Beach, Thailand, 2071)
During the 21st century human beings have ignored the directives of environmental associations denouncing the presence of too many caps, cotton buds, polystyrene and bottles on beaches all around the world. These were mainly rubbish that emerged from the sand of the most beautiful places in the world during the seasonal cleanings. However, with the incessant and constant production of plastic, beaches literally became plastic dumps due to the waste washed up by the sea, in addition to the trash left behind by tourists. Hence, the “golden beaches” turned into the so-called "plastic beaches". The only way left to admire those earthly paradises is from 20th-century postcards as mankind hasn’t been able to preserve them.
